A highly skilled team

Dr Aileen Griffin grew up and went to school in Balbriggan before moving to Wales to study Dentistry at Cardiff University. Following graduation in 2007 she undertook Vocational Training in a general and orthodontic practice in Swansea before returning to work as a general dentist in Balbriggan Dental Care. From here she undertook postgraduate study in Universities in England and achieved an Masters degree in Orthodontics. Dr Griffin has been providing Orthodontic treatment in Balbriggan Braces since 2013.

Daniela is our Specialist Orthodontist who is on the Irish Dental Specialists register(reg. no. 12DS13). Daniela completed her undergraduate dental degree and specialist training in Romania and has gained her expert Orthodontic experience working in both hospital and private Orthodontic practice settings in Romania and Ireland. She has been a valued member of the team in Balbriggan since 2016. Daniela offers comprehensive Orthodontic treatment using cutting-edge techniques systems.

Maire joined the practice in 2014.She qualified as a dentist in 1986 from UCC. Maire completed a clinical attachment in Orthodontics at St Marys Hospital London 1996. She has limited her practice to Orthodontics alone since 1997 when she joined a Specialist Orthodontic practice in London where she worked for 18 years. Maire is a user of multiple Orthodontic systems with a special interest in the Damon system and Dentofacial Orthopaedics . She is a regular attendee of Orthodontic courses and Conferences.

James grew up in Naas, Co Kildare and studied Dentistry at Trinity College Dublin. After graduating in 2006 he work in general practice in Balbriggan for many years before developing a passion for Orthodontics. James completed a Masters degree in Orthodontics from Warwick University in the UK.

Bríd is originally from Sligo and is a keen sailor. She graduated as a dentist from Trinity college in 2005. She is passionate about Orthodontics and provides both fixed braces and aligners for teenage and adult patients. Bríd has been an Elite provider of Invisalign for 7 years and recently completed her Masters in Orthodontics with Warwick University.

Dr Rebecca Oakley is originally from Wales and graduated with an honours degree from Cardiff university Dental school in 2009. Following her time practicing in the Welsh valleys she took a post at Dublin Dental Hospital. This senior house officer position allowed the opportunity to further her passion and training for complex cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. Dr Oakley continued to work in several practices in Ireland while pursuing her passion for implants and Facial Aesthetics. Dr Oakley has undertaken advanced surgical training and has a strong commitment to continued education. By implementing modern techniques and a natural artistic eye Rebecca is committed to providing the best possible treatment for each patient.

Hazel graduated as a dental nurse with distinction from Dublin Dental Hospital in 2010. She went on to work in Blackrock Clinic where she gained a vast amount of experience in Oral Surgery, Implantology, Periodontics and Prosthodontics. Hazel joined Balbriggan Braces in August 2013 and now manages all aspects of patient care within the Orthodontic practice. Hazel received a diploma in Dental Radiography in 2016 and achieved a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from Dublin Dental School, Trinity College in 2018.
